UX UI design plays a crucial role in any mobile application’s success, even though UX and UI are two separate processes, they are often referred to as one, So it is important to understand that they are not the same thing, using UX UI effectively makes the app flawless and helps the app to be successful. Without proper UX UI, the app feels like House which is still under construction.
To make it more clear, here is a side-by-side comparison of a home, On the left side is an example of when UX and UI are given less importance or when not used significantly, and on the right side is an example when the UX UI is used considerably.

What is UX Design?

UX (User Experience) is a task not only to craft a product but also to provide a seamless and impactful experience to the users. A user experience can be good or bad, but the overall dedication of the UX design is to create an experience that falls into a good category.

The ultimate goal of UX design is to ensure users leave with a positive impression, and that’s where sustainable UX design comes into play. It’s all about creating experiences that last and evolve with user needs.

Examples of Good and Bad User Experience

On the left side (Bad UX) the error message that is displayed is unclear and more robotic. The text does not explain what an error is, which will create confusion further.  The call to action should be such that it gives a positive vibe and is inviting. “Click here to start again” creates a burdened feeling to start the whole process from the start which creates a negative user experience!

On the Right side (Good UX) the error message shows clearly what the error is and the message is polite and yet straightforward. Good textual message is most important for good UX, good UX writing always has a request and politeness along with clear instructions that do not scare the user instead it will create a positive and good user experience.

Importance of UX Design

UX (user experience) helps in understanding the problems and finding the solution. In simple words, UX is the groundwork of the app where you decide how the app should work and what features are to be included. The importance of the UX design is to understand the user flow and reduce the user journey time.

This shows how essential a well-thought-out UX strategy is when you’re planning how to build a minimum viable product (MVP).

Ux Strategy

UX strategy is a guideline and detailed long-term plan that aims to understand the user’s product goals and needs. UX strategy planning includes understanding the what is the current state of the project and future development vision for the future user experience.

Wireframes play a key role in this phase, as they help visualize the app’s structure early on. By understanding what features need priority and how users will interact with the product, you set a solid foundation for a smooth user experience.

What is UI Design?

UI Design (User Interface Design) is the process that represents your app visually, UI overall visual representation of the app like typography, colour, graphics, and button styling, which enhances the product’s look and feel, to put in a simple way a house with beautiful interiors, in which the house is the app and the interiors is the styling of the app.

The above image represents the Good and Bad UI of Side bar or hamburger menu, The good UI has visual representation with the icons and gives a clean and aesthetic look, the hierarchy is maintained accordingly separating the given options, and frequently used options are placed on the top so it is easy for the user to access them, less used options like settings and logout and profile are placed at the bottom. Whereas in Bad UI the options are cluttered giving a text-like experience and visually it might create an unpleasant and confusing experience.

Good UI design supports your brand development, helping your app stand out with a visually engaging interface.

Importance of UI Design

When you think about an app the first thing that comes to your mind is the layout and the aesthetics of the app which give a positive response for the users who are using the app for the first time. Since UI is the only way for the user can interact with the app it is important to keep in mind and make sure it is easy for the users to find the relevant option or action. UI design is important as it connects functionality with aesthetics which makes it easy for the user to complete the task.

Even though the product has the best user interface it might fail if the ux is not given much importance and vice versa.
